2009 PICNIC APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
(PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING)

Picnic is an indie craft fair and music festival. We are looking for vendors who create unique handmade crafts, fine art, and photography, as well as vendors who sell vintage goods such as books, clothing, bicycles, records and household items. The event is held outdoors, rain or shine. Each vendor will get a 10′ x 10′ space and you are responsible for your own display items (canopy, tables, chairs). Tables and chairs are available to rent through us if you need them, tables are $15 each and chairs are $5 each. Artists may share one 10′ x 10′ space, but must apply together and both be accepted. Art organizations and collectives are welcome to apply, but must apply as a group.

Location: Lincoln Park (Congress Street and Franklin Arterial) in Portland, Maine
Date: September 12, 2009, 11am to 6pm
Vendor Fee: $75 (this includes the City of Portland Street Vendor License fee)

Payment: PayPal is preferred but checks are also accepted. Checks may be dropped off at Ferdinand, 243 Congress Street, Portland ME. Checks should be made out to Picnic LLC. All applicants will be notified of acceptance by August 15. All applicants paying by check will be charged at this time. All unaccepted artists will not be charged and all checks will be returned. If you made a payment via PayPal and are not accepted we will send you a refund at this time, minus $2.50 to cover PayPal fees. Your application will not be considered without full payment. If you are sharing a table, the main contact is responsible for the full fee for all parties involved.

Application deadline: August 1, 2009

All applicants must include images of their work (unless selling vintage goods). Please include the url of your website in the application. If you do not have a website, you may send 3 digital images to picnicportland@gmail.com.

No refunds will be given once you have been accepted.
